The Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development, the Town of Mills River, Henderson County and Bright Star have announced the marketing of the Bright Star site as an industrial location for advanced manufacturing. The 262 acre site is in northern Henderson County, bordered on the east by the Asheville Regional Airport and to the north and west by the French Broad River.

Tony Fraga wants to redevelopment the Haywood Park Hotel and surrounding property to include a 25-story high rise, a 21-story hotel, and a retail arcade that will extend from Page Avenue to Haywood Street, and add additional parking.
Using E.W. Grove’s original blueprint for the construction of the high-rise, he plans for the building to sit on the corner of Battery Park and Page Avenue.
